The SDCC Globus endpoint is moving to version 5.4 and will require MFA for all file transfers. Currently two SDCC endpoints are available but after May 31st the old SDCC endpoint (d6ae63d8-503f-11e9-a620-0a54e005f950) will be retired and deleted. Please test and use the new SDCC endpoint for all file transfers (12782fb1-a599-4f18-b0fb-2e849681e214).

On 4/4/2022 @ 9 AM astroftp.rhic.bnl.gov and rcf3.rhic.bnl.gov will be retired/shut down permanently and user should migrate all files/work to the replacement server/servers on cftp.sdcc.bnl.gov, sftp.sdcc.bnl.gov for data transfers (to replace astroftp), NX, tex and nxcamput01 for interactive logins (to replace rcf3).

The BNL Box service has been restored and is now running Nextcloud v22. Please check your clients (including mobile) - you may need to log in again and/or update your client to the latest version. There may be lingering issues, so please report any problems encountered via email to RT-RACF-StorageManagement@bnl.gov\n\nWe plan another update to Nextcloud v23 next week, which will be announced in advance. After that, we will be looking at adding new features and capabilities. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this process.

Description:
As part of the modernization of the ITD-managed Indico services at BNL and in keeping with best practices with regards to access control to collaborative tools, the creation of local Indico accounts will be disabled on Tuesday, March 8th. Please read the full announcement on https://indico.bnl.gov/.

Indico users may still access Indico with their local accounts until May 31st, 2022. However, all Indico users are urged to switch to federated accounts at their earliest possible convenience. On or about June 1st, Indico access via local accounts will be disabled in its entirety, and access to Indico will only be possible via federated accounts. Acceptable federated accounts include BNL Active Directory, BNL SDCC, InCommon and EduGAIN. It does NOT include Google and other common social media platforms.
