[Brahms-l] dAu mult paper - as if you don't have enough to do...

Hi,
Flemming has suggested that those of us at BNL spend a little time
in tomorrow's meeting to decide what to do about the dAu multiplicity
paper. If we want to submit this paper, it should be done now. The
concerns that have been raised follow two lines:
1.) The BB counters were NOT working well during the dAu run and
so these results have been questioned. I believe the current
15% systematic uncertainties attributed to these counters cover any
reasonable uncertainty, but this needs to be discussed.
2.) Trine found a mistake in my mapping of the NA35 results to the
Au fragmentation region. The new version corrects this but in doing
so makes in necessary to tone down statements of overlapping behavior
for the two energies. However, on the suggestion of JH I've added
discussion on the Npart scaling looking solely at our ratio of central
to
peripheral data. I expect there still needs to be some fine-tuning of
the words talking about the centrality dependence and limiting
fragmentation-like behavior. In any case, we need to cut some words.

This draft corrects a number of errors that people (especially Fouad)
have brought to my attention since the last draft.

Steve
