    Dear Collaborator,
as forwarned the RHIC schedule has changed again with the approved
extension of the run to the 30'th. I enclose the message from the
    scheduling
physicist. In short the implication are
    a) The Brahms physics running will start again on or about thirsday morning
(A short access is required to remove two counters installed by pp2pp in the
INL station 2) and continue to Friday 30'th in the morning. If the startup
this night is slow the run may end on Thursday late afternoon to
    accomodate the beam-exp.
    b) The scheuling of shifts is not easy, since many people have planned
obligations following the expected en of run last Friday!!! I will try to
post a temtative schedule sometime tomorrow.
    c) The physics plan now is to complete the 1/1A 4 deg 10h (data taking)
about 3 shifts of 12 eg 2/3 Field followed by 3 deg 1/1 in an attempt to
do the transverse asymmetry. Should this work out the pp run , while
painfull and utterly dis-organized will turn succesful physicswise.

    regards

    Hi,
As I am sure you already know, the run has been extended 'till May 30th.
We are trying to settle on a schedule, but it is a bit of a moving
    target.
    Here's where things stand:

pp2pp will run following the recovery from today's access. They will run
for 40 hours, the starting time being "when the machine is ready for
injection", which is interpreted to mean "the state the machine is in
preceeding the first successful injection". If the starting time occures
    before
8:00 tomorrow morning, then beam experiments will run after pp2pp for 8
hours, after which the polarized proton program will proceed (essentially)
undisturbed until the 30th. If the starting time is later than 8:00
tomorrow morning, then beam experiments will run for the last 12 hours of
    the run,
with physics using all the time between pp2pp end and T_f-12. Will all of
this change? Probably. I'll keep you posted.
