Hi BRAHMS, I am looking at the file /brahms/data02/data/run05/cucu/200/r12316/dst/dst012316v0p3.root Angle 90 Field 1050 Following Flemming's suggestion, I looked into the corresponding gtr file: =================== /brahms/data02/data/run05/cucu/200/r12316/gtr/hist_gtr012316seq000v0p3.root KEY: TDirectory Tracking_MRS;1 Tracking_MRS KEY: TH1F hMomentum;1 Accepted MRS tracks momentum KEY: TDirectory Match_MRS;1 Match_MRS KEY: TH1F hMatchP_MRS;1 MRS Matching P (GeV/c) KEY: TH1F hMatchPGood_MRS;1 MRS Matching P (GeV/c) Good Tracks ==================== I assume that the following correspondence is true http://www4.rcf.bnl.gov/~tigist/MrsCheck/MRS_Accepted_P.gif <------------> MRS_fP http://www4.rcf.bnl.gov/~tigist/MrsCheck/MRS_Matching_PGoodTracks.gif <------------> MRS_fD5_fP http://www4.rcf.bnl.gov/~tigist/MrsCheck/MRS_Matching_P.gif Looking at these plots, it seems that the problem is while making the dst files. To check where stuff went bad, check the histograms in the gtr production (for Mrstracking and the refitting). In general the MRS.fP comes from the global track ie. refitting while the fD5.fP from the initial matching. Hopefully this helps. Please when you send out pleas for help indicate what runs, and dst versions,, your are looking at.
