    The problem with GIFs is not that you can not use them on Unix -
    it's that it's a patented algorithm - and as everybody knows, software
    patents is like to mathematics patents - ludicrous.  
    
    Why don't you post you scripts too, so that we can easily modify the
    titles, colours, data points(!), ladida if we like? 
    
    We should get our SysOp to installt the ROOT module for Apache, so
    that the server can automatically generate plots if requested.  Carrot
    [1] is a cool thing too.
