Hi JIJ I don't see the big difference between your tracking package and mine, they both go from raw data to tracks. I am sorry to hear that we both have done the same work, so to prevent that that happens to much I will comment that I am trying to rewrite the global tracking classes (MatchTrack MRS FFS FS etc.) and the modules. Anybody else doing that ? Write me and we can discuss this. > Conceptually, at least to me, a tracking package is not a hit package. > It should do hit reconstruction, but it should also perform operations > that are beyond hit reconstruction. I don't undrstand your last point because it also does tracking. Your first point I don't agree with. By using public inheritance I can use all the handles from BrTpcHitPackage, GetPPModule etc... For me private inheritance or to have the class as a member would be to hide all knowledge about BrTpcHitPackage from the user, but you need the handles to set the parameters for clustering etc. and so you have to resupply these methods.... I don't see any problems, but if people agree that this is wrong, they are welcome to change it.
