Description of air flow system

System provides dry air to lower humidity in enclosures around PHOBOS Si detectors by bleeding the boil-off from liquid nitrogen buggy.

The system is safe, clean (oil-free), and requires little operator intervention.

The response time is hours for the main enclosure to bleed up to ambient relative humidity in the event the system loses power (so don't panic).

The two 300 gallon LN2 buggies are refilled in-place every Friday by a technician from the Cylinder Warehouse.

If a LN2 buggy is empty (CAPSUHELIC gauge on back panel of buggy reads low) call Cylinder Warehouse: 2964 for refill.

In the event of a major disaster the detector enclosures in the tunnel can be isolated from the LN2 buggies by turning the large yellow handle above the radiator behind the buggies so that it is perpendicular to the flow-line.
