1.) Click on "Beam Loss Monitors" on portal. Then click on Spikes last 48 hrs. Have there been any spikes in the last 8 hours that have not already been noted in the logbook?
YES ___
NO ___
  Yes: Call MCR to see what was being done during that time and write note in logbook. Then continue to 2.)

No: Continue to 2.)
2.) In "Beam Loss Monitor" page, click on each value in  'Dose' column to view history for that monitor. Check for spuriously high doses 3.6 rad/hr above the base level not already noted in logbook in BLMs (ignore spuriously low values) and in chipmunks. Read documentation for description of base level.   Yes: Call MCR to find out if they were doing anything during that time and write note in logbook. Then continue to 3.)

No: continue to 3.)
3.) Check the nominal status for the radiation monitoring. Does the BLM entry say ON?
YES ___
NO ___
  Yes: Proceed to step 4.)

No: You are done with the check for this subsytem.
4.) Is the Radiation Monitoring Program even open (both BLM and Chipmunks)?
YES ___
NO ___
  Yes: go onto 5.)

No: Double click the icon on the desktop labeled BLMmonitor for the BLM display and Chipmunkmonitor for the Chipmunk display. Click the white arrow in the upper left to run the program and go on to 5.)
5.) Are the charts in the front scrolling (slowly) and do the instant doses and the timestamp on the BLM display appear to be updating?
YES ___
NO ___
  Yes: You are done with the check for this subsystem.

No: Proceed to 6.) in the radiation monitoring documentation.
