    Note, that /brahms/u/brahmlib/etc/brahms.{login,profile} sets these
    environment variables.  They should be deleted from those scripts. 
    
    I'd like to _strongly_ encourage _every_ BRAHMS user to have 
    
      if test -f  /brahms/u/brahmlib/etc/brahms.profile ; then 
        . /brahms/u/brahmlib/etc/brahms.profile 
      fi
    
    in their ~/.profile or 
    
      if ( -f  /brahms/u/brahmlib/etc/brahms.profile ) then 
        source /brahms/u/brahmlib/etc/brahms.login
      endif
    
    in their ~/.login.  In that way, the user don't need to do anything.
    Feel free to look in ~cholm/.profile for an example.
