As you may know RCF is in the middle of an upgarde of the HPSS hardware and software. This is not going as well
as planned and means that HPSS is out of service for at least until next Tuesday(Oct 22) . If it is not up for testing and usage by that
time it  clear the upgrade plan is falling behind schedule, and it ought to be evaluated what (if any) consequences this might have
for the startup of RHIC this run. It is my intention to follow this closely.
