SSH to pii's - very odd.

There seems to be some problems connection to the pii's:

  pii2.hirg.bnl.gov		Ok
  pii3.brahms.bnl.gov		ssh_exchange_identification
  pii4.brahms.bnl.gov		ssh_exchange_identification
  pii5.brahms.bnl.gov		ssh_exchange_identification
  pii6.brahms.bnl.gov		hangs, probably down
  pii7.brahms.bnl.gov		ssh_exchange_identification
  pii8.brahms.bnl.gov		Ok
  pii9.hirg.bnl.gov		Ok
  pii10.hirg.bnl.gov		Ok
  pii11.brahms.bnl.gov		Ok
  pii12.brahms.bnl.gov		ssh_exchange_identification
  concerto.brahms.bnl.gov       Ok 

In all cases, I try to connect using SSH (protocol 2) from `rssh02',
with the user name `brahmlib'.   

I removed all entries in .ssh/known_hosts pertaining to the pii's
before trying all  this. 

I can understand why pii3 should have some limited acces, but the rest
is kinda beyond me.
