As for GUI an BRAT - that is hopefully disappering out of BRAT soon.
We should really keep the number of ROOT libraries down to the bare
minimum, so to speed up the analysis code.

Fancy GUIs for controls, operator monitoring, event displays, and so
on can use BRAT, but should not be part of BRAT per se. In fact, we
have all of these packages outside of BRAT as it is. Now we just need
to remove the directory modules/evdisp, and some other odd
    dependencies (see brat/README and brat/TODO).

As for the ROOT Win32 GUI: There's quite a lot of interresting things
going on in the ROOT community at the moment in terms GUIs [1,2,3,4,5]:

    * Mohammad Al-Turany has released a new version of QtROOT (high-level)
    * Brett Viren is working on GtkROOT (high-level)
    * Bertrand Bellenot is working on TGWin32 (medium-level)
    * Yuriy (?) has released and alpha of TGQt (low-level)

Those of you on roottalk has undoubtledly followed this inspirring
debate - some seem to not like, others where graving for it.

    Yours,
