Hi,

Concerning supported architectures at RCF.

Since we (us at NBI) use Digital Unix (i.e. alpha_osf1) we would like
to keep some software for that architecture.

However, the software under /afs/rhic/alpha_osf1 are quite general
(and outdated), so I think it is safe to say we (a least I) wouldn't
mind having that wiped out.

All that said, I would like to see Objectivity for Digital Unix on the
RCF machines. After all, the Digital Alpha chip is one m****r f*****g
fast chip - think the only thing that really competes with it, I
think, are multi-processor machines (like a dual 433 MHz Pentium
Celeron - my own configuration).

How about BRAT for Digital Unix?! Does anybody have an idea of how
hard it would be to port it? If I decide to try it, I'll let you know
what the resault is.

Well, even though it's almost done - have a nice potato-holiday (local
Danish thing - I think).

Christian
