RCF supports several arch's via the /asf structures. At this point locally RCF has only linux, and Sun machines. They will like to reduce the files that hold RCF has put forwadr a proposal what directories to eliminate. If you have an opinion on this inparticular if software is picked up from RCF, please let me/rcf know.

Please take a look to directory /afs/rhic

Some of the platforms are old. May be we can remove them from AFS.
Here is a list of their top directories:

/afs/rhic/alpha_osf1
/afs/rhic/rs_aix32
/afs/rhic/sgi_52
/afs/rhic/sgi_53

We also have newer platforms which I think are not used at least on
site.

/afs/rhic/sgi_62
/afs/rhic/sgi_64
/afs/rhic/sgi_65
/afs/rhic/alpha_dux40

Any of the above directories as well as corresponding AFS volumes
will be removed only if all the experiments are not using them and not
planning
to do it in the future.

Please review the above directories and send me your opinion.

Thank you,

Alex
