[Brahms-l] rebuilding brat

Hi:  I'm trying to remake brat with the new libraries and am running  
into some
problems.  I'm probably missing a step...
What I did:
		cvs update -PAd
		make maintainer-clean
    (This failed with
		db/Makefile.am:36: variable `ROOTLNET' not defined
		db/Makefile.am:36: variable `ROOTLNET' not defined
		make[1]: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1
		make[1]: Leaving directory `/direct/brahms+u/sanders/brat/db'
		make: *** [maintainer-clean-recursive] Error 1
    )
Ignoring the previous problem, I went ahead with
		autogen
which failed with
		sanders_at_rcas0054:~/brat> autogen
		Can't locate object method "path" via package "Request" at /usr/ 
share/autoconf/Autom4te/C4che.pm line 69, <GEN1> line 111.
		aclocal: autom4te failed with exit status: 1

Have I missed a step?
