Michael PS An MS word version of the Ad is attached PostDoctoral Position in Heavy Ions at the Univerisity of Kansas The Nuclear Physics Group at the University of Kansas invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the area of relativistic heavy-ion physics. Our group is a member of the CMS collaboration at the LHC and is responsible for the Zero Degree Calorimeter that will be used for heavy ion and early pp running. Our group is also responsible for the ZDCs on the BRAHMS experiment at RHIC. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in nuclear science or high energy physics at time of hire, evidence of scientific productivity, working experience on nuclear/high energy physics experiments, and the ability to work at CERN, BNL and/or Fermilab. Desired qualifications include experience with detector design and development and experience with running experiments and data analysis.
