FYI The obstacle at YELLOW sector 4 turned out to be a piece of aluminum foil in the NEG-coated beam pipe downstream of the stochastic cooling tank. The foil was removed, and the vacuum system was already reassembled. YELLOW is now expected to become operational during the day tomorrow, December 30. BLUE beam operation will resume around 5 PM today, December 29. For more info on impact see F.Pilat's presentation today on http://server.c-ad.bnl.gov/esfd/RMEM/rhic_planning.htm As you can see there is still a little while to go before beam-operations. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Wed Dec 29 15:58:22 2004
