Dear Collaborator, In part due to a recent safety week the issue of transportation at the lab between apartments, dorms and the experimental area's came into focus. Many visitors and collabortors do not have own transportation and relies on hitching a ride with others, using the BNL van in working hours. The following policy has been put into place that may help in this regards. It is possible alos for Brahms collaborator to take advantage of this. It will require coordination within our experiment when people are here for transportaiton between exp and main campus, but also that people who wish to take advantage of this has proper driver license. Do also note this is for after hours, and on-site only. The full memo is enclosed below and attached as a word document. For those of you coming to BNL soon please advice me and Melanie if this is of interest to gauge how this can work out. regards Flemming ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 2004 10:01 AM Subject: Vehicles available to RHIC for after-hours use > BNL government vehicles are available to the RHIC experiments for > after-hours (overnight) use.
