Dear Collaborator, This mail is promarely to each institution but send it to the full list to keep everyone informed. As you have seen there will be another discussion on a possible further delay of the RHIC startup. This can hopefully be settled; In order to have an opinion on this I will like to gather from everybody comments what the effects are poisitve and negative. >From our local meeting some issue have been raised. - Changing plans again makes it difficult to arrange travel for people; exp scheduling - Will almost by default restrict the overall running time to 15 physics weeks. + No experiment running during the Holiday season Q Is it an (dis)advantage for ongoing data-analysis ? Q Does it have any effect on readiness of exp (Flow det, shower max, trigger electronics) Please bring concerns to me by Wednesday (Oct 6 before 11 EDT). regards Flemming ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Mon Oct 4 15:56:33 2004
