When most of you will read this the HI running of Run-04 will be coming to an end. Tomorow , Friday, at 7 am the 63GeV run will end. A substantial amount of data was also recorded at this energy, albeit RHIC in the last two days proved that problems do arise and smooth running is not guarenteed. I will like to thank all that help taking shifts, fixing detector and computer problems as the run went along all a significant contributing factor to having a large data set (~11Tb) of interesting data. The next 5 weeks will be primarely to develop the polarize proton beams, albeit we will have an opportunity if all goes well to supplement some of the reference pp data in FS at higher fields. There will not be a dedicated physics running period but starting about 3 weeks from now owl shifts are expected to be available to all experiments. On the 3 day access period starting Monday we will re-install the INL counters to ensure the FS program can proceed if the development goes well. regards Flemming ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Thu Apr 1 19:00:26 2004
