At today's coordination meeting the remification's on the hopeful/expected additional 1 week of runnning as based on using this for low energy (63GeV) was discussed. Since there is yet no final word this is not necessarely cast in stone, but sets forth a clear path and understanding. In addition to the summary by phil Pile below it was agreed that the machine people would use 2-3 day shifts on needed beam development in the next ~ 3 weeks. Flemmimg Two decisions made today at the subject meeting. (1) The "Default Plan" end date for the 100 x 100 GeV/n Au-Au run is now Friday, 26 March (was Wednesday, 24 March) followed by 5 weeks of polarized proton development. (2) Should funds be received to allow an additional week of RHIC operations then the "Default Plan" is to end the full energy Au-Au run on Wednesday, 24 March and begin setup for a 9 day low energy Au-Au run, ending on Friday, 2 April followed by 5 weeks of polarized proton development. This was agreed to by the experiments. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Wed Mar 3 16:11:35 2004
