Dear Collaborators, In response to the very reasonable request made earlier today, I send the list of people from NBI who are responsible for various calibration and reconstruction tasks. TASKS: ####### CALIBRATIONS: ############# +Global: ZDC--Kansas BB--? Inelastic--BNL --->VERTEX--? Si Array--Kansas Tile Array--Kansas Tracking: TPCs--NBI--IGB (Many calibrations done, documentation will be updated and made public this week. Others have also contributed to these calibrations/software: Svein, Truls, my bachelor students.) DCs--Krakow PID PEDESTAL (encompasses all+BB+ZDC) (IGB says: I believe this works. It is not so difficult, but someone needs to do it.) H1--NBI H2--NBI TOFW--NBI (DO+IGB: We will check that software is still working and update documentation. We will also need for others to perform some of these calibrations once software+documentation is up to date.) TOFW2--? -->MRST0(p+p,d+Au) -->FST0(p+p,d+Au) C1--NBI (CEJ: Gain calibrations need to be done. Should take two hours. Not from now, of course, but from the time the task is started...) C4--? (IGB says: I think that EJK has looked at this? If not, I suppose one should be able to take the C1 software directly.) RICH--NBI (CEJ: see C1) ######### LOCAL TRACKING ############## prerequisite:TPC+DC calibrations perform local tracking--NBI (IGB will--try to--organize, would like some help, though. Volunteers, Please!) ############## "GLOBAL" tracking ############## prerequisites: Geometry data base LOCAL TRACKING Matching Offsets VERTEX calbration perform global tracking--NBI(IGB will--try to--organize, would like some help, though. Volunteers, Please!) ############## DSTs ##### prerequisites: Centality calibrations PID calibrations Global track files make dsts--NBI(IGB will--try to--organize, would like some help, though. Volunteers, Please!) I think that once all software and documentation is in place there is no need for this effort to take months. Here at NBI, we are prepared to go all out to get DSTs very quickly. Let's get the annoying tasks out of the way so we can get to the fun part: finding out what secrets nature has hidden in our data.
