NSRL-1 finished ====== Scheduling Physicist -YIP (ie. SPY) news channel ======== (0) As usual, a "Time Meeting" will be held on Nov. 25, 2003 at 13:30 in the Snyder Room (911). (1) It looks like that we'll have beam this midnight and if we are lucky, we may have beam spiralling in the RHIC tunnel tomorrow morning. (2) The cryo not so fast ... There was some problem with the refrigerator of the cryogenic system and now the time for the yellow ring being cold is expected to be Nov. 29, 2003. The blue ring magnet training has taken more time than we have expected. The "training" work will continue tomorrow and maybe even afterwards. The additional manget training time is generally translated to access time for everybody (including C-AD groups as well as the RHIC physics expts.). We'll find out tomorrow morning whether this Wed. is open for access. There will be ~2 days magnet training for the yellow ring once the yellow ring is cold. That is another access opportunity. (3) In today's "Expt. Scheduling Meeting", all RHIC experiments seem to want to have weekly access after the initial machine start-up/ramp-up time. Hmm ........ (4) At the time of writing, the "NSRL-1" (NASA) run (since Oct. 27) has finished finally.
