Dear Colleagues,,
I know we have all been occupied with the succesfull completion and acceptance of the PRL suppression letter.
There are two other important deadlines looming, namely the 'future' document that must be submitted by the end of this
month, and the Beam use proposal that has end of August as deadline.
To get the process moving along I plan to schedule a phone conference/ meeting for early next week for interested parties particular on the future document. I talked to Steve Sanders, and we hope to have an updated document at that time.
To help this along please read the document and give comments back to me and Steve.
I enclosed the message and attachment send out just before my own vacation.

I have been working up a second draft of the document, to large extend for discussion and input from people so we can move forward to a concensus and final document. The starting point was Jens Jorgen first dratf on the near term plans. I has the same basic component, but someaht re-arrange and a little expanded + some of the thought that emerged during the discussions we had
i.e. BNL + Sanders+Murrray + Ian about a week ago. Much work is still needed. Even with the deadline being moved to July 31, there is a significant number of people taking vacation in July for longer periods so feedback
is important. You are welcome to send comment to the brahms-l list, but also to either myself, Jens Jorgen and Steve Sanders. Steve has agreed to gather comments and update the document until about mid-July when I am back from vacation.
I hope you will help in getting this still rough draft further along.
