    Hi Ian,
Thanks for your quick response. I probably did not express myself clear enough.
My intention was to get comments from now until end-of QM, have a few people wotking on rate estimates
e.g. Steve S. has said he would look into what is needed for the Cherenkov in MRS, and
work on a first draft possible there and possible a little during my vacation.
In short - after the 20'th will be great.

      Hi Flemming,
I would like to comment, but doubt that I'll have time before I leave for Nantes. Can you take comments then, or is this coming weekend that you will do the preparation? Also, I'll be happy to help in the preparation, but I don't see that I have time to start until around lunch time on 20. July.
      Cheers,
      Ian

        Dear Collaborator,
Let me give you an update on the little amount of work that has taken places for the beam use proposal.

The deadline for submission is eob on Monday August 12. with the PAC meeting on August 26
This means in fact that the I will be at BNL for this
and can edit a final version over the weekend. Nothing has in fact been written - but I have gathered some of the
thoughts and comments in set of slides - (I also envision these can be used for the actual presentation with proper
added material) The first couple is the generic Brahms program as set forth in CDR
and at previous PAC meetings. The next sets show what could be the request for this and subsequent years and the
physics rationale behind it.With the expected running of RHIC in 24 beamsetup + physics the program can accomodate
as I outlined at the collaboration meeting at most 2 different beam species. With this in mind the propose program
is AuAu + dAu in run-3 and Si-SI+dAu in run-4 (pending on additional detectors want might also request Au-Au in the second
year). Note there is no demand to bring forth the run-4 plans, but it looks like a good idea.

The slides can be found either as ppt or pdf file at
        http://pii3.brahms.bnl.gov/~videbaek/BrahmsRun-3.pdf
        http://pii3.brahms.bnl.gov/~videbaek/BrahmsRun-3.ppt

I know many are very busy with the important analysis and prepartions for QM talks, but it would be good
to get comments (references, count-rates estimates, prioritisation for the goals, settings) such the outline
of this document can proceed in the next couple of weeks. With such basic material in hand I do not envision the actual writting
possibly 4-5 pages should be that difficult.

        best regards
            Flemming
