Dear Brahms Collaborators, Please reserve in your calendar the dates of : MAY, 21-24, 2002 for a BRAHMS collaboration meeting at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen (2.5-3 days) followed by (most importantly) an 'OLE HANSEN FEST' (1-1-5 days). Indeed, Ole has decided to retire from his professorship at NBI and from a long and distinguished physics carreer at NBI and elsewhere from the beginning of 2002, and we wish to mark this occasion with a 'mini-symposium' and a party on May 24th. The preparations are already well advanced and a program will be announced early in 2002. The collaboration meeting should obviously focus on the preparations for the QM2002 meeting and thus on physics and analysis. I also take the opportunity to wish all BRAHMS collaborations a great Christmas and a happy Y2002 and thank everyone for a very sucessful Y2001 for the collaboration. With 3 major papers published or submitted, several more in the make and a sucessful gold run, I feel BRAHMS is well placed to make a significant contribution to the physics program at RHIC. best regards to all JJ ________________________________ Jens Jørgen Gaardhøje Assoc. prof.
