    Date: Thu Oct 4 04:41:25 2001, Shift: 00:00-08:00
    Supervisor: R. Debbe, with: none
    Log book#9 pages 86 - 89

    Shift Summary:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Machine status: Beam for only half an hour

    Achievements: run 5124 81K trigger 1

Detector problems: DVF1 (T1 drift vel mon) has been fried
operators should have detected high current in this anode
but they didn't pay attention. Otherwise same problems as
    previous shifts.

It is 04:30 and I'm going home. I consider a waste of time
to be here waiting for beam and even if beam comes back my
blood is boiling because the plan for this shift is a scan
for anode voltages and thresholds for T5 because the counter
is dead half of the time. I suggested many times to many
people to do those studies at the begining of the run. We
all have the impresion that we are taking data that is worth
something and keep reminding ourselves that the Forward
spectrometer is what gives us an edge. Well I better go
    ------------------------------------------------------------
