    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Date: Fri Sep 28 00:13:18 2001, Shift: 16:00-24:00
    Supervisor: R. Debbe, with: none
    Log book#9 pages 57 - 61

    Shift Summary:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Machine Status: When I arrived there was a good store with ZDC coinc. rates of 360/sec
at 19:10 Phenix voted to dump and called to ask us to do the same.
The beam conditions were not yet as specified in our new rules.
At 20:00 I voted to dump and in half an hour the beam was dumped.
It took only 40 min to get back to a store with 360 collisions per sec, but the blue beam
was decaying fast. By 23:30 Phenix voted to dump and called again.
At 24:00 by using an initial rate of 260 collision per second I
satisfied our dump conditions and I voted to dump. It takes half
an hour to dump the beam because Star and Phobos need time to
    park their detectors.

    Achievements: Data run 4993 300K
                           4994 150K
                           4995, 4996 FS field zero
                           4997 Drift Velocity run
                           4998 TPC pedestal
                           5000 FS field zero
                           5001 FS field zero 93K
                           5002 Data 181K

    3. Detector problems: No problems, currents in DC were all
around 30 micro amps or less.
