Dear Friends According to my information we have approximately the following number of trigger 1's: FS 4 deg B(1/3) 1.0 M A(1/3) 1.1 M B(1/5) 3.8 M B(1/5) 5.1 M FS 8 deg B(1/5) 2.8 M A(1/5) 4.5 M The MRS has been at 40 deg for about 5 M . Pol. A favours selects negative particles in the FS. For MRS polarity changes do not result in widely different number of particles of either sign. I would suggest that now is the time to go to lower angles again, since this is where BRAHMS has its specialty. There are several possibilities. 4 deg accumulate more 1/5 accumulate more 1/3 get higher field eg. 1/2 go to 2.5 deg 1/3 1/5 We are having a dioscussion on this at NBI in afew minutes. I will come back with a proposal from this side for the weekend. regards JJ -- ____________________________________________________ JENS JORGEN GAARDHOJE Assoc. Prof. of Physics, Dr. Scient.
