Hello. Since the tile's gain has been changed from the last year,
I am not using tile to obtain the minimum bias events although tile is our
best minimum bias detector because of its large phase space
coverage. Therefore, I am using the silicon alone to "guesstimate" our
minimum bias. This is very tricky because I do not know how much of
the minimum events the silcon detector really sees, and the silicon
detectors has the problem in the very lower end of multiplicity because of
nonliearity in PTQ (peak streacher). (Of cause, this could be avoided if
we had peak sensing adc. hint-hint) Other than I am using silicon alone,
I am using the same technique described in the mult paper. (Basicly, I
throw out the low mult events, and count the number of events above the
certain threathold mult value. And, I add the estimated low mult from
simulation to get the total counts. Once I know the total, I
sliced the events by silicon multiplicity for silicon and by bb mult for
bb.) Anyway, at this moment, it is my best "GUESSTIMATE".
