Dear Michael, The distributions for the matching parameters shown in the "FAQ's are obviously before matching cuts in each projections. When all three matching conditions are applied (angle in x and y, and delta y) there will not be much background left. Also when you take particle ratios, we assume the two "signal to the left-over background" ratios for positive particles from A polarity and for negative particles from B polarity cancel out. In other words, I don't correct for the background in the ratio.
