Ramping to 70 GeV wasn't successful, but for a short time beam was ramped at 50 GeV. Since 5:30, beam has been steered back in our area at 30 GeV. The rate for the "collision" at 30GeV with steered beam is 3 - 5 / min. depending on the intensities of the beam. Data: Run 1426 is a good run to see events with collisions. It has about 300 "collisions" (trigger 6). For a data set only includes "trigger 6" with fewer collision events is run_1424. Trigger: The trigger mix currently running is 5(sd:5)-6-8. News: RD put the news on the first collisions at BRAHMS on the web page. Detectors: TPC HV are resonably happy. A Happy shift! Hope to see more exciting news coming up! Cheers. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Konstantin Olchanski Physics Department, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Long Island, New York olchansk@bnl.gov
