RCF Call Tracking System: ViewFYI when you see an obvious problem like this (you might try to connect or ping the machine first) you should really submit a trouble tickets. Some problems are not found by RCF by themselves . There is some automatic monitoring, but it does take a while. An example they do catch quickly is when rmine001 does not respond(user disks). fv ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 ----- Original Message ----- From: Flemming Videbaek To: hollowec@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov Cc: garcia@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; alexw@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; smithj4@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; rind@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; awchan@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; tomw@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; videbaek@bnl.gov ; hogue@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov ; operator@rcf.rhic.bnl.gov Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2005 7:05 AM Subject: CTS: ticket 11304 Flemming Videbaek Linux General Administrator RCF Call Tracking System New View Followup Notify Report Search Problem Types CForm About Help View problem ticket 11304, Original Submission View Full Ticket Followup Problem 11304, Original Ticket - Open, Priority: High Customer: Flemming Videbaek, x4106, Physics Department Submitted On: Thu, 7 Jul 2005 07:05:58 Submitted By: Flemming Videbaek, x4106 Problem Type: Linux General Owner: Christopher Hollowell, x8031 Summary: brahms-db0 down ?
