[Brahms-dev-l] new 63 GeV centrality calibration

Hi,
Yesterday I committed a new multiplicity to centrality calibration for
the 63 GeV AuAu runs.
Djamel had noted that my previous calibration led to an increase in the
centrality spectrum for
more central events when the BB trigger was added in addition to the
ZDC trigger, even if there
was no downscaling of the ZDC. The previous calibration was based on
the false assumption that
the ZDC would be efficient for central events. The new calibration
assumes the ZDC is efficient for
those peripheral events where the tile multiplicity is >=4, but is NOT
efficient for the more central
events.

I've put some details on the ZDC inefficiency at
http://kunuc6.phsx.ukans.edu/~sanders/63GeV_Centrality/
CentCalibrationAt63GeV.ppt

At this point there should be reasonably good year 2004 calibrations
for both 200 GeV AuAu and
63 GeV AuAu corresponding to runs (200 GeV) 9389, 9701, (63 GeV) 11298,
  11523.

We will now start a systematic calibration of the other runs for 04.

Regards,
Steve
