Hi, As we all know, picking up a right acceptance map for a given z at small angle is tricky due to a limited accuracy on determining the origin of the track. it's especially an issue for dAu and pp data since BB vertices are available only for a fraction of event. Here is what I believe one of the ways to accommodate the uncertainties in applying z dependent acceptance weight. This method doesn't require generating new maps and has been "successfully" adapted in the Ramiro's analysis. http://pii3.brahms.bnl.gov/~jhlee/brahms/analysis/acceptance/new_acceptance_ weighting_for_forward_in_dAu.pdf Cheers, JH _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Sat Jan 24 10:50:14 2004
