It seems that Konstantin compiled and installed the MySQL server by hand: pii3> rpm -qf /usr/libexec/mysqld file /usr/libexec/mysqld is not owned by any package pii3> rpm -qf /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so file /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so is not owned by any package Why, I don't know. Perhaps there's some email exchange on brahms-dev-l or brahms-soft-l, which could be found if we had a search engine! If Konstantin is listening, it'd be nice if you could tell us why you didn't just use the RPM (my guess: Better optimisation, and allowing more clients or something like that). Thank you.
