    What about Intel's Fortran compiler?

I still don't know what you want with XV, but I guess it's OK (one
small application extra doesn't hurt - 1000 does however).

Make sure that includes the application `fig2dev' - that's the
application we use for generating the pictures in the BRAT guide.
That means, that the package `transfig' should be installed too.

Oh, what about an Intercal compiler too - I'm kidding!

Perhaps you could make that list:

      rpm -qa \
          | sed 's/\(.*\)-\([0-9.]*\)-\([0-9]*\)/\1 @@@\2-\3/'	\
          | tr '@' '\t' \
          | sort

and post it on the web?

    Erh, isn't rplay10 also a Red Hat 9 machine:

      cholm@rplay10:~> cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)

If *I* was the BOFH (Bastard Operator From Hell), I'd just install Red
Hat 9, and be done with it. Actually I would install Debian stable,
'cause that what it is _stable_.

One shouldn't put stuff in the `/home/' directories that one can not
afford to loose in the first place, as these are not backed up.
