    Oh, I'm quite calm.  And really it's very simple (though you're
    initial brconvnames_old was really bad) - after all, it's "if"s, and
    "while"s, variables, and so on - you know - Fortran like.  
    
    BTW, did you guys know that there's a new Fortran coming out next
    year?  Yep, I couldn't believe it either - flogging a dead horse.
