I now know the mysql error. I was logged into brahmlib and after your message, I found to my great surprise that the path had been set to use some mysql which was installed in ~brahmlib/mysql/bin!!! It works on pii3 after removing that. On pii6 it now tries to run, but self destructs saying that server and client protocols are different. I understand that. So I think the matter is understood.
