Hi Peter and others,

After some new simulations, here is the status of the tpc tracking:

  TPM1: ok, gives some local tracks in most of cases
  TPM2: no tracks, only 5 detector hits=09
  T1:   no tracks, only 4 detector hits
  T2:   no tracks, only 2 detector hits

I threw a single particle in each event, so that it goes through each
tpc detector. I digitized with TestGeantDig (that uses BrDigitizeTPC) and
then reconstructed with Peter's procedure (cf. previous email) but also
with the old BrTPCTrackingModule (wich gave me the same results for
local tracks).=20

My guess is therefore that something weird occurs during the digitization
step but I may be wrong since I'm not a TPC expert. I should mention that
I was using the latest version of brat (1.8.2 as far as I know).

If some of you could give me a hint (I went through the tpc class code and
I must say I have some hard time in understanding it).
