As noted in my announcement of the BrDetectorMonitor object (item 7 of the
message of 5-May-2000), there is a scheme for people to be able to save their
arrays in a root file on a monitor by monitor basis. This is something that
is only used if the monitor manager chooses to use it. Currently this is
apparently done for BB and ZDC. I find the possibility of not losing
everything when going out of the monitor to be quite attractive and in fact I
had received several requests to implement that.

So that is what they are. They can be deleted if not needed. I do not want
to make it so they are never created again. That can be accomplished if the
detector people do not want to save their arrays. They simply don't need to
use that part of the code. We could, however, discuss the possibility of
making the files always go to a single place. But that would have it's own
    set of problems.
