    Hello,
After the discussion this morning regarding the problems with VER-1-6
that have crept in, I have changed the BRATSYS in the group wide login
    to
    1. brat installed on afs
    2. brat release version VER-1-6-1
Any changes that were put in "by hand" into VER-1-6 in brahmlib and not
committed before VER-1-6-1 was released will not be in this version.

I have also made a dev directory which is linked to a cvs checkout of
today (5-26-00). It is compiling even as I write.

ROOTSYS in the brahmlib group wide login was changed to the root
installed on afs. It is the same version of root (v2.24.04), so there
    should be no difference.

The above has the implication that we can use the same version on the
PII's as on the RCF machines. To that end, brat on the cas machines
appears to do the same thing.
ROOT on pii's and cas machines is the same version and at least starts
up. I could not compile brat on the sun's. I get error messages I have
never seen before. Needs investigation. The upshot is that one can run
the same version of BRAT and ROOT on the PII's and CAS machines, but
only the same version of ROOT on Sun machines in RCF. BRAT does not
    compile for the moment there.

Having done all this, I compiled the set of Online Monitors in the
operator account. This time it compiled and ran and then I promptly
used it and have been reading events from the Event Builder. Appears to
    work fine.

Let me know if there are any problems with any of this.

    Kris
