I noticed that Kris seems a bit impatient to hear some feedback on the
BraToot (my name for the BRAT/ROOT combination) on the 
/afs directory.  I tried this yesterday using the setup included in 
Kris's mail.  I have not had any problems, and have not noticed 
any difference in speed from the PII machines.  
So, Kris, thanks it seems to work just fine.
