Here at NBI, we running ROOT 2.23/12, BRAT 1.5.2, using EGCS 1.1.2, on Redhat 5.2 (GLIBC 2.0.7) and it works fine. Also previous versions of ROOT/BRAT work fine. We've also got four Redhat 6.1 machines (GLIBC 2.1) running the same ROOT/BRAT versions, and these are fine too, ofcourse. Actually, from BRAT version 1.5.1 it also runs on Digital Unix, using EGCS 1.1.2, so I think they are rather stable. Now wether the code is right ... Please notice, that the directory ~brahmlib/brat/VER-1-4-3 actually contains version 1.5.2, and ~brahmlib/brat/DEV contains 1.5.pre3. To get an idea of the current version, cd to the appropiate directory, and do something like 'cvs log Makefile'. The head of the output in ~brahmlib/brat/VER-1-4-3 is brahmlib@pii3:~/brat/VER-1-4-3> cvs log Makefile | head -n 25 RCS file: /afs/rhic/brahms/BRAHMS_CVS/brat/Makefile,v Working file: Makefile head: 1.25 branch: locks: strict access list: symbolic names: VER-1-5-2: 1.25 VER-1-5-1: 1.25 VER-1-5: 1.24 BRAT-1-4-3: 1.24 BRAT-1-4-2: 1.24 BRAT-1-3-1: 1.21 BRAT-1-2: 1.20 BRAT-1-1: 1.11 BRAT1: 1.10 keyword substitution: kv total revisions: 25; selected revisions: 25 description: ---------------------------- revision 1.25 date: 2000/03/17 16:10:00; author: cholm; state: Exp; lines: +28 -4 Added Emacs makefile mode lines to mkconfig files. Also added targets "test", "testclean", and "dist" to main Makefile. ---------------------------- so you see that revision 1.25 corresponds to CVS tag 'VER-1-5-2', or in human language BRAT version 1.5.2. I believe I was the last one to tag the CVS repository, and I do believe I posted a message on brahms-soft-l, saying I've had tagged the BRAT repositiory to version 1.5.2 > Let me know. Just keep the versions correct, and I'm happy :-) Also, I think it would be a nice thing, if we could have the BRAT html pages updated. And let me take this opertunitiy, to report that BrDigitizeMultSi is buggy - sorry! For Kris, Flemming, and Alv: How do you feel about BrGeantDigitize!? Is it worth putting into the repository? Please let me know. Cheers, Christian ----------------------------------------------------------- Holm Christensen Phone: (+45) 35 35 96 91 Sankt Hansgade 23, 1. th.
