    Hello,
    I spent yesterday compiling ROOT V2.23.12 and the latest release of BRAT
    out of the repository on the CAS machines as well as the pii's.

    If you wish to use these versions (they may well be the only ones that
    run dependably now), you should make the following pointers

    CAS machines:
    ROOTSYS = /brahms/u/brahmlib/root/root_v2.23.12/$BRAHMS_ARCH
    BRATSYS = /brahms/u/brahmlib/brat/DEV
    BRATHOME = $BRATSYS unless you making something of your own (you know
    who you are)

    PII's
    ROOTSYS = /home/brahmlib/root/root_v2.23.12/$BRAHMS_ARCH
    BRATSYS = /home/brahmlib/brat/DEV

    I have not changed the default pointers. I will do that soon. But
    first I would like a comment. As I noted before, these versions might
    well be the only ones that run dependably with RH 6.1, so I would be
    tempted to make new and pro point to the same directory. I got
    lamblasted the last time I did that, so I am looking for an agreement.
    If we don't have an agreement on that, I will leave default pointers the
    way they are with no guarantees as to if things will run or not.

    Let me know.

    Kris
