A package for the BRAHMS detector simulation.

Gbrahms can now be compiled and run with g77 on linux.

Releases

The GBRAHMS package has several official releases. It is recommended to use the latest version. The releases made so far are

GRBRAHMS version 1.6 Release from December 1, 1999. Includes near final geometries, default shielding, some platforms.

GRBRAHMS version 1.5 release from December 29, 1998. This is the production version for MDC-II

GRBRAHMS version 1.4 release from December 27, 1997. Note You must update or copy the modified comis analysis routine g_anantp.f , gbr2c.f from the AFS depository. Otherwise the hits will not be found properly. the

GRBRAHMS version 1.2 release from June 17, 1997

Code Maintanence

The code maintenance from the previous GBRAHMS document has been split into a seperate part. This part has information is needed if you have to modify code, or add to existing detectors. A draft note on how to add a new detector has been written (May 98). A new layout and some additional information added in Oct 98.

The changes of code and developments are documented in the history file which also includes useful hints on code management. The history file has details on the different releases.

The following is a list of pictures generated by GBRAHMS showing the amaount of detail (or lack there of) for different detector systems.

The Beam beam array and beam pipe. (November 2000). The FLOR and Platform is not on by default. Use set_tree flor o to include.
