Broad RAnge Hadron Magnetic Spectrometers Experiment at RHIC

The BRAHMS experiment is designed to measure charged hadrons over a wide range of rapidity and transverse momentum to study the reaction mechanisms of the relativistic heavy ion reactions at RHIC (Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory) and the the properities of the highly excited nuclear matter formed in these reaction. The experiment has taken data in the first 6 RHIC runs 2000-2006 and have completed datataking.
