Go to the RHIC X-term computer and find the 'Magnet' control window. Avoid starting a duplicate window.

Go to the Magnet Monitoring Program on the 'MAGMON' computer.

| Go to the front face of the Magnet Power Supply in the utility building, look at the thermometer. | Temperature is: _____ deg C |
If the temperature is ~30 deg. C, try to increase the airflow in the utility building by opening doors etc. | |
| Look at 'StatusStringM' in the window, does the string say 'Off'? | Magnet is On c Stby c Off c |
If the magnet is 'Off' you can ignore 'Fault' or 'Component Fault' messages. |
