How to request access to IR

Useful things for filling out form: Gate number 10GE1

Temperature in Electronics or Shift Room

    There is an electronic thermometer behind the racks, in between the two circuit breaker boxes. Read the temperature that says indoors.

Checking if Heaters are Off

There are three heaters in the main part of the counting house, under the long table with computers on it.
There is an additional heater in the conference room under the window on the wall with the counting house entrance door on it. To check they are off ensure their control knobs are turned counter-clockwise all the way to the low position .

Liquid Nitrogen Level Check

The liquid nitrogen buggy is located in between building 1010B (counting house) and 1010A (power supply shed).  On the back of it are the gauges necessary to perform the checklist. There are two gauges entitled "Pressure Gauge" and "Liquid Gauge".

Printer Problems

If you have a problem with the Tektronix printer follow the steps until you fix the problem

  1. Check with Tektronix web site for suggestions of how to fix the problem Tektronix Knowledge Base
  2. See if someone around you has any ideas on how to fix it
  3. Call Steve Gushue: 4336.
  4. Send an email to gushue@bnl.gov, stating the nature of the problem
