That doesn't nessecarily mean it's unstable or incompatible or something. Read the documentation for the configuration option, and if it say something like `only use this option if you know what you're doing' then don't use it. Also read the documentation in the `Documentation' sub-directory of the source tree. If you find no warnings as to unstability or similar, then go ahead and use it.
